The Pharmacy Direct Online Warehouse (the Online Warehouse) is hosted by Pharmacy Direct (Proprietary) Limited with registration number 2003/031934/07 at www.pharmacydirect.co.za (the website). Pharmacy Direct is a company with limited liability and incorporated in the Republic of South Africa with its registered address situated at 23 Kwartsiet Crescent, Zwartkop Ext 15, Centurion.

Pharmacy Direct is a nationwide courier pharmacy that delivers prescribed chronic medication to a variety of patients from private individuals, to medical scheme members and beneficiaries of public healthcare sector programmes. 

By using this Pharmacy Direct Online Warehouse, you consent to be bound by these terms and conditions which are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Where we use terms such as “we”, “us”, and “our”, we are referring to Pharmacy Direct. “You” refers to the user of this website.

Terms of use

These terms and conditions apply to all purchases ordered online at the Online Warehouse. 

You can choose to register with us at any time or check out as a guest should you prefer. Please note that legislation requires registration and login in for the purchase of certain products. You will need to create your account to register. Registration and/ or use of our Online Warehouse constitutes your acceptance and agreement to be bound by the terms of our website, including any additional products. 

Online Registration 

This Online Warehouse, www.pharmacydirect.co.za provided by Pharmacy Direct, may be used for the purchasing of products displayed. By using the website or downloading materials from the website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms, do not use the website or download materials from the website. The Online Warehouse includes links to other websites operated by affiliates of Pharmacy Direct.  

Use of such websites shall be subject to the terms and conditions particular to such websites. In addition, you may be required to agree with other terms and conditions (including but not limited to those of an “End User License Agreement”) when you download certain content, which, in the avoidance of doubt and in the case of possible conflict, will prevail. 

 When you register on the Online Warehouse, we will require that you provide certain personal information including personal details and your delivery address. You must select your preferred user ID and a password. Please be cautious that you do not disclose your user ID and password to anyone as Pharmacy Direct does not accept any liability for any damages suffered or losses incurred from the unauthorised or unlawful use of your password. You will use your user ID and password every time you visit our Online Warehouse. To amend any registration particulars please click on "My Account" and edit your details.

Use of materials

Pharmacy Direct or third parties who have licensed specific products shall reserve all intellectual property rights (the rights which could be protected by the copyright law, the design law, the trademark law and other intellectual property laws) concerning any documents, programs, movies, animations, articles, sketches, drawings, software, databases, trademarks, logos and other materials available on the website (the “Information”). 

Except to enable your personal use of the information available on the website as well as rights granted to you under applicable mandatory law, you are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, modifying, displaying, showing, publicly transmitting or otherwise creating derivative products of any of the information, in whole or in part, regardless of medium, without prior written permission from the intellectual property right owner(s).

Any sites of third parties linked to or from the website are not under the control of Pharmacy Direct, and Pharmacy Direct is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. Pharmacy Direct provides those links to you only for your convenience, and the inclusion of any link to a site does not imply endorsement of the site by Pharmacy Direct. 

Activating Your User Account and Maintenance on the Online Warehouse 

You must be 18 or older to use the website and place your orders on the Online Warehouse. Once you are on the website, please proceed to the Online Warehouse, you must select the ‘Login’ or ‘Register’ to complete your personal information details that will enable you to create your user account. You must enter the password requirements in order for your user account to be protected. You confirm that you will keep your login credentials and password confidential at all times. 

To change your user account credentials, you must click on "My Account", select ‘change password’ and enter the new password details that you wish. Your password may not have less than 8 characters. 

Pharmacy Direct will not store any personal information unless you explicitly request that we do so. 

Sales and Stock Availability

The products displayed on our Online Warehouse are subject to availability and will be delivered only within the Republic of South Africa. All prices shown on our website are quoted in South African Rands and are valid and effective only in the Republic of South Africa.

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify our products and services from time to time without notice. We will inform you as soon as possible if any products or services ordered by you are not available. We reserve the right to control the quantities of the products being sold to you. 

Online Warehouse Prices 

Pharmacy Direct offers competitive prices, therefore, prices shown on the Online Warehouse are exclusive to it and its suppliers and may change from time to time. Prices are set while stocks last. Prices include Value-Added Tax. Special promotions may be subject to certain conditions, including stock availability and limited offer stipulations. A delivery fee will be charged for each order placed by you and will be shown on the online till slip as a separate item.   

Trading Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am -17:00pm

                           Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
